Enrollment Process:
- Submit an Application for Membership.
- Complete institutional enrollment process.
- Schedule an initial campus visit.
- Enroll instructors in our Instructor Certification Course (Optional)
- Maintain Accreditation and Membership Bi-Annually
Required Documents (Four Year Bible Colleges issuing degrees):
- IATS Membership Application
- History of the educational institution from conception to current status
- Biographical information for each instructor
- Course Catalog and Degree Plans for Higher Education
- Statement of Faith and Philosophy
- Educational Institution’s Self-Assessment
- U.S. Schools: Non-Profit 501 (c)(3) Approval (International Schools: Documents required by host nation for U.S. Accreditation)
- Legal charter or incorporation in your state (International Schools: Documents required by host nation for U.S. Accreditation)
- Licenses required by your state (if applicable) (International Schools: Any legal binding documents required by host nation for authorization to operate)
- State required health, safety, or fire inspections (if applicable) (International Schools: Any legal binding documents required by host nation for authorization to operate)
- List of faculties with applicable diplomas, certifications, fields of study listed
- List of all curricula and educational resources used – Title, author, publisher, date of publication
- Access to curricula, tests and educational resources used
- Description of library resources (online and on-site) – Schools must ensure adequate student access to supplemental biblical educational resources for rigorous independent study (minimum of 10,000 titles of scholastic use)
- IATS Accreditation Questionnaire
- Promotional materials offered to the public
- Copy of the School’s Student Handbook
- Admissions documents required as part of student application process
- Schools Statement of Doctrine
- Description of technologies used in distribution of course content
Virtual meeting solutions (Zoom, Teams, etc.), learning management systems (Moodle, Google Classroom, etc.), student emails, collaborative - Access to student records setup, transcripts, and backed up filing system – Note: For privacy concerns, we do not want access to actual student records.
Please provide a dummy copy showing how student records are stored. - Proof of an adequate off-site backup system for student records
- Tour of meeting rooms and classrooms (Either photographs or video tour prior to an on-campus visit)
- Demo or screen shots of any learning management system used
- List of Degree Plans with descriptions for High Education and Graduation Criteria

School Administration Documentation:
- IATS Application of Membership
- Statement of Faith and Philosophy for the institution
- Statement of Doctrine
- Proof of 501c3 designation
- Legal charter of incorporation documentation required by your state
- Licenses required by your state
- State required health, safety, or fire inspections for all facilities
- Professional Certifications documentation (Ex. ACTFL, NAJIT, ATA, etc.)
- Copies of all promotional materials offered to the public
- Completed IATS Accreditation Questionnaire
Course Documentation:
- Syllabus for each certification/degree offered. Syllabi should include the following:
- Course names and description core competencies for each certification/degree number of hours for completion of the certification
- tuition obligations for each certification or degree
- List of all curricula and educational resources used – include title, author, publisher, date of publication
- Description of technologies used in distribution of course content – virtual meeting rooms (Zoom, Teams, etc.), learning management systems (Moodle, Google Classroom, etc.), student emails, collaborative tools
- Description of library resources (both online and on-site) – Schools must ensure adequate student access to supplemental biblical educational resources for rigorous independent study (minimum of 10,000 titles of scholastic use).
Instructor Documentation:
Instructor bios to include the following:
- Educational background
- Spiritual background
- Previous and current church or ministerial leadership roles in which the instructors serve
- Copies of applicable diplomas, certifications, and fields of study and expertise for each instructor
Student Documentation:
- Copies of any admissions documents required as part of the student application
- Copy of the school’s student handbook
- Copy of the certificate or diploma to be conferred to graduating students
- Access to student records management setup, transcripts, and offsite back-up filing system Note: For privacy concerns, we do not want access to actual student records. Please provide only a dummy copy to IATS.
- Signed agreement stating member school will prominently display the IATS Student Accreditation Acknowledgement Statement and Student IATS Accreditation Agreement Statement on all websites, advertising materials and platforms, and student registration materials. Note: Copies of these statements will be provided to member schools as part of the IATS onboarding process. The member school agrees to collect signed copies of these statements from each student as part of the student registration process and maintain these signed documents in each student’s permanent file.
